EverSky is both a game and a research project.

EverSky – Entropy, Exploration, Discovery, Society.

The concept of EverSky, is to examine some core themes in game form. Those themes may change as the feel of the game changes, in a manner similar to how traditional tabletop roleplaying games change as the story unfolds. EverSky is a fragmented world where the rules of entropy are unwinding. Decay and its inverse are constantly happening, the game world shifts and changes over time. In the world of EverSky, players are considered pioneers, explorers of this ever shifting realm. As new lands are discovered, they are named by the players that discover them. Similarly players who choose to explore the various crafts may name new discoveries and either share them with the world, or keep the private.

Trade and exploration are major themes in EverSky. The engine of progress is driven by trade, yet trade is driven by the exploration of new spaces, discovery of new minerals, new compounds, new artefacts.

Society forms the final pillar of the game. Within the EverSky world, players will encounter different forms of society. Characters interactions will be rich and meaningful, with the characters the player meets being capable of memory and having the ability to learn and develop new skills.
